Dr Nobutaka Ito was graduated from B.S in Agricultural Machinery, Mie University, Japan 1965 and completed his Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from Kyoto University, Japan. He has joined Mie University, Japan, April 1970 as an Assistant Professor in Dept. of Agricultural Machinery and continued his carrier as Professor Emeritus, Mie University till April 2006. He is the President of IFPaT (International Farmers Participation Technical Net-work, Non Profitable Organization), NPO Japan (2006 – Up to now)


  1. Research on Slip – draft Control of Agricultural Tractor was awarded by JSAM(Japanese Society of Agricultural Machinery (1976)
  2. Honorary Doctoral awarded by Chiang Mai University, Thailand (2007)
  3. Honorary Citizen awarded by Nong Lam University & Hochiminh City, Vietnam (December 2015)

ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIP: The International Society for Terrain Vehicle Systems, Japanese Society of Agricultural Machinery, American Society of Agricultural Engineers, Japanese Society of Mechanical Engineers, Japanese Society of Terramechanics, Japan Association of Automatic Control Engineers, Japanese Association of Construction Machinery and Mechanization, Japanese Society of Automotive Engineers.

BOOKS: He joined in writing almost seven (7) books related to his academic & technical fields as co-author. He wrote two textbooks for JICA trainee

PUBLICATIONS: Research papers published in the academic journal with review system are almost more than 100. Technical and its related article published in the magazine & journal are more than 250.
