Mr. Subbarao brings 22+ years of rich experience in agriculture industry, presently working as Head of Agronomy for South India operations at Netafim Irrigation India Pvt. Ltd. Associated with Netafim for almost a decade. He started his career in Netafim as District horticulturalist for Vizainagaram. He is playing a key role in strengthening and enlightening the agronomy division through various practices & initiatives like farmer meetings, exposure visits, trainings to framers, engineers, APIMP, agriculture and horticulture officials. He is very instrumental in R & D trails in Drip Rice, Oilplam, Sugarcane, cotton etc conducted in South India. At workplace Subbarao is known for his business acumen, agronomical knowledge and passion towards serving farmers. He is also known for his voice, critique and sense of humor.
Subbarao started his career with Govt of Andhra Pradesh as Horticulture officer, Prior to Netafim, he is associated with different companies Navabharat Floriculture Ltd. Hyderabad, Parinika Harvest Floratech Ltd, Gland Pharma Ltd, Exim Food Products.
Subbarao is an M.Sc (Horticulture) 1993 batch from College of Agriculture, ANGRAU Rajendernagar HYDERABAD. He is a Member of Research and Extension Council (REC) of Dr.YSR Horticulture University.
