Dr. Emilia Mikulewicz, PhD- Founder and CEO at Cultiva EcoSolutions

Dr Emilia Mikulewicz is a seasoned agronomist and horticulture consultant with a lifelong foundation in agriculture, shaped by hands-on experience and academic discipline. Born in 1990s Poland during a period of systemic transition, she developed a practical, problem-solving mindset from early childhood, working daily on her family’s dairy farm. Although raised in a livestock-focused environment, her interest gravitated toward plant cultivation, which led her into professional horticulture and agronomy.
From a young age, Emilia balanced formal education with active farm work, managing orchard care, producing ornamental plants for sale, and supporting crop cultivation alongside dairy operations. This early immersion fostered a results-oriented work ethic, grounded in Slavic pragmatism and self-reliance.
Her academic background includes a PhD in Agronomy, an MSc in Agriculture, and a BSc in Horticulture, the latter earned with the highest departmental score among hundreds of students.
She also holds a professional certificate in floristry from one of Poland’s leading floral design institutions. Emilia’s academic path reflects a time when educational standards were closely tied to real-world application, equipping her with a deep understanding of plant physiology, production systems, and the technical challenges of both field and controlled-environment cultivation.
With nearly three decades of field exposure and over a decade in professional roles, she served as senior grower for one of the branches of a major Eastern European organic hydroponic producer, supplying fresh herbs and leafy greens to major supermarket chains. Promoted to management within three years, she oversaw biologically intensive, high-efficiency systems focused on zero-waste performance. Her leadership contributed to periods of almost zero measurable crop loss, a rare
benchmark in commercial-scale organic hydroponics.
Emilia is the founder of Cultiva EcoSolutions, a consulting company focused on sustainable horticulture, regenerative agriculture, hydroponics, and organic production systems. The firm works globally, helping growers and agricultural businesses solve complex challenges, improve productivity, and adopt ecologically sound practices. Her consulting approach emphasizes practical, science-based strategies tailored to each client’s unique context, without hype or over-promises.
Recognized for her clarity, technical accuracy, and commitment to long-term solutions, Emilia combines deep production knowledge with strategic advisory support, particularly in areas such as pest and nutrient management, organic system design, and certification readiness, including GlobalG.A.P. Her insights are valued by producers seeking to transition, scale, or optimize under pressure.
Experienced across diverse climates, she brings a global perspective rooted in field-level expertise. Through Cultiva EcoSolutions, Emilia continues to bridge the gap between agronomic science and practical implementation, empowering producers to build resilient and future-ready operations.
